Side Quest Goal Achieved: Placing an Alien Claim. Top Story - March 2026.
This is a post that has me quite ecstatic. It's funny, I thought it was going to be one of my usual, "Hey, I achieved another one of my goals and checked it off" type deals. And it sort of is. But it sort of isn't. And it's also one of my greatest writing accomplishments of late.

Preservation as an Act of Care
Care is usually associated with people, not with ideas. It brings to mind attentiveness, patience, protection, and responsibility toward something fragile. Meaning rarely enters that picture. Thoughts are assumed to be abundant, replaceable, and endlessly renewable. If one is lost, another will come. This assumption feels practical, but it is wrong in a quiet and costly way. Some meanings are not interchangeable. Some insights arrive only once, shaped by a particular moment, a particular season, or a particular convergence of experience that will never repeat in the same form.

A truth
If you have a truth it could never be taken away from you no matter how quiet it sounds when you say it out loud, it could never be taken away from you no matter if people try and squash it down or dilute the tears it’s cried out, it will remain and be fulfilled, it can never be taken away from you.

My Room as a Mirror: Writing From the Inside Out
There’s a room I return to every night, even when I’m nowhere near it. It’s only a small space—four walls, a desk, a chair—but it’s where most of my life actually happens. Or at least, where it gets sorted, questioned, and scribbled onto paper. I didn’t realize until recently how much my room and my head look alike: cluttered in places, empty in others, and full of half-finished thoughts and memories shoved into strange corners.

Late March 2026: 5 Goals Accomplished
To me, it's funny, the nature of publishing your work. The way I do it is, anyway. I send out TONS of stories to TONS of publications all the time. I'm pretty sure I have 57 pending right now... and I have 4 more that I will be sending this week. I'm constantly sending more, getting turned down by places, waiting, writing, sending more, getting turned down more... and then every once in a while... you get the acceptance.
