We're Supposed to be Family
The missing piece

When you are a part of the family, you should be a part of the family.
When you leave it makes me feel sad, because we’re family.
I wonder when you will come back, and wonder if we can get that snack.
Days, months, years seems to go by, and you never made up for the mistakes you lack.
I don’t know if anything really seems to change, at times it’s all so strange.
We’re supposed to be family, but you came more of a sea anemone.
Sometimes when you’re back it is good for a bit, it gives me a bit of a lift and then when you go, it puts me in a stiff.
But it’s okay now, sometimes I do wonder how, but then I realise I’m not a cow but a person who lives in the now.
A person who smart, kind, intelligent and someone who is has a good mind, but definitely won’t get left behind.
No matter the time, we’re family but I am not blind because now I do not mind you not being family.
