My Little Buttercup

My little buttercup,

Never asks me

"What's up?"

She never has to,

She always knows when I'm happy;

When I am sad,

She sits there,

In grass so green,

And;

Her tiny yellow petals,

Make me beam,

She makes me sing,

She makes me dance,

She makes me feel less alone,

She never shouts,

Just listens to me,

When I sulk and pout,

She cheers me up,

With her brightest smile,

And salutes me,

With her beautiful style,

My little buttercup,

Gives me comfort on my loneliest days,

When I'm with her,

I can feel the sun's rays,

And;

My depression never stays,

My little buttercup,

Will always light up my life,

By staying bright.
