Burn It Down
i'll set fire to the whole place

Rachel,
All I’ve wanted was your friendship (and love)
Cause you were the best thing since Dad died.
Hell must’ve frozen over because you’re not here anymore.
Everyone's wondering where you went.
Lust for a new beginning is where our thoughts linger.
*
Abandoned me here;
Malice enters my heart sometimes, thinking this to be true.
Burning down the town is what I want to do.
Embers across the skies, ashes falling through the night;
Remembering you as I wonder if you really left me behind.
*
Accepting your absence is unlikely.
Nobody else seems to care.
Don’t forget me if you’re in California.
*
Can’t stop thinking that something worse happened.
How am I supposed to find you?
Loneliness fills me;
Only you can make me feel complete.
Everything sucks more without you.
*
Please,
Return to Arcadia Bay, to me.
I’m nothing;
Chloe is hollow without Rachel following behind.
Emptiness will continue to consume me until I find you.

I don't know who Rachel and Chloe are but your poem made me so emotional. Also, I wouldn't have known this was an Acrostic if you hadn't folded the first letters and added the Acrostic tag. You always manage to nail it with a smooth flow!
What a great idea for an acrostic poem. I am going to try this for two dogs that are no longer around. Good job.
